These Terms of Use are the agreement between you and Puranic Tales. By downloading, opening or using the app, you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
They sit alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and why.
The app is made for children, but the agreement is with a grown-up. A Family Account may only be created by a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over, who agrees to these Terms on behalf of the children who read under that account.
You can open the app and read your first two tales as a guest, without an account and without giving us anything.
Please keep your sign-in details to yourself, and let us know if you believe someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under it.
One Family Account is meant for one household. Please do not share it more widely or use it commercially.
We ask that you do not copy, record, re-upload or redistribute the stories, artwork or narration; attempt to break, reverse-engineer or interfere with the app; or use it to harm anyone or break the law.
Children may type short reflections in the journal. Please encourage them not to write personal details there. We clean obvious personal information on the device before anything is saved.
The tales are original retellings of ancient, public-domain myths, fables and short-stories from across the world, written with care and reverence for the traditions they come from.
The words, illustrations, narration, music, characters and the Puranic Tales name are ours, and remain ours. Using the app gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to enjoy them within the app — not to reuse them elsewhere.
Tales that are free today may change over time, and we may in future offer additional tales or features as a paid purchase. Any purchase would be made through the app store you downloaded from, and their refund rules would apply.
We will never charge you without making the price clear first.
We add tales, improve narration and fix problems over time, so the app will change. We may occasionally need to take it offline for maintenance, and we cannot promise it will be available without interruption.
If we make an important change to these Terms, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, tell you in the app.
You may delete your Family Account at any time from inside the app, under Parent Zone. Deleting removes your account and its data, as described in our Privacy Policy and on our Account & Data Deletion page.
We may suspend or end access to an account that is being used to break these Terms or to harm others.
Puranic Tales is provided as it is. While we work hard to keep it accurate, safe and working well, we cannot guarantee that it will always be free of errors or interruption.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana will have jurisdiction — except where the law of your own country gives you the right to bring a claim there.
