How to Request Account & Data Deletion

Parents and account holders can request complete deletion of their Family Account and all associated data at any time using either of the following methods:

Option 1: In-App Deletion Request

  1. Open the Puranic Tales app on your device.
  2. Go to Parent Zone -> Account Cancellation.
  3. Read the confirmation, tick the box to confirm you understand, and tap Delete my account.
  4. Your account and all its data are deleted straight away. No email, and no waiting.

Option 2: Direct Email Request

Send an email to puranictalesstudio@gmail.com with the subject line: "Account Deletion Request" from the email address associated with your Family Account.

What Data is Deleted?

When an account deletion request is processed, we permanently erase all of your data from our servers, including:

  • Your Family Account registration (Name, Email address, and Auth User ID).
  • All child reader profiles and avatars.
  • All story progress, stars earned, and reading history across all devices.
  • All saved journal entries and reflections.

Data Retention & Processing Time

Deletion made inside the app is immediate: your account and its data are removed from our servers as you confirm, not queued for later. Once deleted, this data cannot be recovered.

Requests sent by email are processed and permanently purged within 30 days of receiving your request.

Guest reading data stored locally on your device can be cleared instantly by uninstalling the app.
